i have this bag of hammers and i won't ask to come in

my bedside changes on a daily basis. with the garden blooming (sunflowers, onions, radishes and all), our bedside has become increasingly colorful.



my sister and i added some of these onion blossoms to my dad's father's day gift and his partner fell in love with them. she even added them to one of her dried flower bouquets! i warned her that they have a very pungent fragrance, but she even loved the scent!



and finally, i've noticed this particular sunflower plant in the yard. it's nearest to the gate, so every time i come and go i can't help but notice it. the past two days its petals were squeezed so tightly shut, that i kept thinking i needed to get a picture, and i finally did. and i'm glad i did because when i woke up this morning, it was suddenly a beautiful sunflower.
