cobbler and companion gardening

last night was date night, thanks to my cpk giftcards, a birthday gift from my step-dad. tutt's got the thai chicken pizza, half no chicken, so we could both enjoy it. i got the chinese chicken salad, chicken on the side, so the dogs could enjoy it. long story short, there was a floating piece of black plastic in my salad, so i got to enjoy my mango italian soda, and fried artichoke hearts like they were the only thing i paid for. not to mention the fresh salad, packed to go, with the dressing on the side that i will most definitely be enjoying for lunch. :) mistakes are tasty sometimes.

when we got home, i looked in the fridge and found some purple cherries, and i was wondering, "hmmm, what can i do with overripe cherries? and of course the kitchn had some amazing advice. i chose the make some mini cobblers. four ingredients, and 45 minutes later i have these babies:

not to mention, the garden is still kicking ass. maxi loves the concept of companion gardening so much that he spends his days sleeping next to the patch of squash, pumpkin, zucchini, and radish. he gave up on the summer sun when it got a little too warm, and matty found him relaxing with the towels.

and today... it's taste in san pedro.
