kaka and coach's new pad & tears

kaka is one of my dearest friends. our friendship has lasted through puberty, the death of her father, college, and well, life. while i was dying my hair black to match my emo mojo, i would be coating the bottom half of her hair with the same black dye to fit her metal suave. when my parents could take off work to drive me to palm springs to train for nationals, we shared a bed in a seemingly distant hotel room in 105 degree heat. we've shared it all from first drinks to first failed relationships and somehow managed to remain close. thus you can imagine my excitement when she told me she was moving in with her partner a few blocks away. since she's moved in we've had a couple cocktail nights, a tv night, a gre study sesh, a walk on the cliffs, and a cry. nothing is comfortable until i've cried; it happened after a night of laughter. tutti and i played around with my camera while kaka and coach cooked dinner in the kitchen (his first time cooking for/with her!). we all talked while they ate and sat down to watch the real world, much to the guys dismay. i'm not sure what happened but started crying during an episode and kaka and coach were touched by my tears. they were shocked when tutti told them i cry nearly every time we watch or do anything, but far more surprised when i told them that these tears of joy. i cry when people are happy and fulfilled (you know, in something like america's got talent) and yes my eyes runneth over with tears but i'm surprised at people's reactions. my spanish teacher once told me she's never seen tears like mine, and i guess it still rings true.

on a dog note, i've been much more consistent with them and have them transitioned to sleeping in their beds (although they choose the pillows in front of their respective beds), and transitioning into using a litter box. maxi chooses to nap wherever he pleases, lately it's been the towel closet.
